Warehouse Manager Resume Sample

· Keith Kwai

Warehouse management is operationally complex and commercially consequential. A strong Warehouse Manager CV makes the scale, the systems, and the performance visible — because hiring managers need to assess fit before an interview, and vague descriptions do not help them.

What makes a strong Warehouse Manager CV

Facility scale and throughput define the context

Warehouse size in square metres, daily shipment volume, SKU count, team size — these numbers give a hiring manager immediate context. Without them, your experience is unassessable.

WMS systems are expected but fluency levels differ

SAP WM, Manhattan, JDA, or a proprietary system — name what you have used and what you have actually managed within it: inbound, outbound, inventory, cycle counting, exception management.

Safety record is a credibility marker

WSHE compliance, incident rate, near-miss reporting — safety is a non-negotiable part of warehouse management in Singapore. If you have maintained a strong safety record, it belongs on your CV.

Cost and efficiency improvement shows commercial ownership

Cost per pick, shrinkage rate, storage utilisation, on-time dispatch — these are the metrics that separate a warehouse manager from a warehouse supervisor.

What to do

  • State the warehouse size, team headcount, and throughput in your role description
  • Include any systems implementations or upgrades you led
  • Show safety record and any relevant certifications
  • Demonstrate 3PL or freight forwarding interface if applicable
  • Include stock accuracy rates and inventory control results

What to avoid

  • Describe warehouse management without volume, system, or performance context
  • Ignore labour management and scheduling — it is a core part of the role
  • Leave out any continuous improvement or lean initiatives
  • Claim WMS expertise without specifying the system and function
  • Write a CV focused entirely on process without showing outcomes

What a weak CV looks like

  • No mention of warehouse size, team size, or throughput anywhere in the CV
  • A long list of warehouse functions with no performance evidence attached
  • Safety and compliance described as awareness rather than practice
  • Roles that describe the same responsibilities from 2015 to present
