Foodpanda starts offering full-time salaried rider roles with CPF and leave
· Keith Kwai
Foodpanda launched a full-time employment option for bicycle and e-bike delivery riders on 21 October, with a basic monthly salary of $1,800, fixed shifts totalling 44 hours a week, a target of 320 deliveries a month, and employee benefits such as full CPF contributions, medical coverage and annual leave. The company told The Straits Times the arrangement sits alongside, rather than replaces, its existing gig riders, as higher CPF contribution rates for platform workers under the Platform Workers Act start from 1 January 2027.
If you are weighing the switch, WorkRightSG, a sister site, explains how Singapore law separates employees, contractors and platform workers.
