GovTech lays off 38 more staff in second of three retrenchment rounds
· Keith Kwai
CNA reports that GovTech has retrenched 38 more employees, mostly in roles organised around traditional project delivery, in the second of three planned rounds as it moves to a new operating model and aims to cut 7% to 9% of its roughly 3,900-strong workforce. This follows 93 retrenchments in July, the final round is understood to be planned for mid-2027, and GovTech said it is working with the Public Service Division, the Skills and Workforce Development Agency and the statutory board employees’ union to support those affected.
If you are caught up in a layoff, WorkRightSG, a sister site, sets out what retrenched employees are entitled to.
