· Keith Kwai
On 12 October, SG Enable announced a set of measures to help persons with disabilities train and move into work, including a new 15-member advisory committee on continuing education and training for them. Its sector train-and-place programme, piloted in hospitality, will expand to F&B, logistics, ICT, healthcare, and HR and administration, with about 800 people expected to be supported between 2026 and 2030. SG Enable will also extend its 95% course fee grant to eligible mainstream courses and give training providers grants and a new framework to make their courses more accessible.
