Responding to a parliamentary question citing Q2 2026 labour data that workers aged 50 to 59 had the highest retrenchment incidence and a six-month re-entry rate of only 41.9%, the Ministry of Manpower said career coaches, the SkillsFuture Jobseeker Support Scheme, Mid-Career Pathways and Career Conversion Programmes already help mature jobseekers.
