Singapore workers lead on AI use but feel less secure about their jobs, PwC survey finds
· Keith Kwai
PwC’s 2026 Hopes and Fears survey, whose Singapore edition was released on 12 October and polled 1,000 local workers, found 74% had used AI at work in the past year, above the 64% global average. However, only 69% felt confident about keeping their jobs over the next 12 months, compared with 84% in 2024, while the global figure stayed around 84%. Respondents ranked economic volatility and AI taking on more tasks as the biggest threats to their jobs, and many said AI had made their work more complex and added to their workload, with burnout cited as the top drag on productivity.
