Taxi and private-hire drivers get new route into bus driving from Oct 1

A career conversion programme opening on 1 October lets taxi and private-hire drivers train as public bus drivers over two to six months, part-time or full-time, with a shorter track for Class 4 licence holders. From 1 January 2027, new Singaporean and PR bus drivers will also get a government-funded S$450 monthly pay increase and an extra S$2,000 sign-on bonus.
