Muslim Pro owner Bitsmedia retrenches 21 staff, most of them in Singapore

Bitsmedia, the Singapore-headquartered company behind the Muslim Pro app, cut 21 jobs in a restructuring, 17 of them in Singapore, mostly in content, marketing, product and business development. Staff were told on 31 August and their employment ended the same day, which some former employees have questioned; the company said AI was not a factor.
