As of 30 September 2026, about 54% of applicants under the SkillsFuture Jobseeker Support Scheme were unsuccessful. The top reasons were that the applicant was not assessed as involuntarily unemployed (69% of unsuccessful cases), average past monthly income exceeded the $5,000 threshold (33%), or they had not worked at least six months in the past 12 months (18%). MOM said it reviews the scheme’s parameters regularly and will consider suggestions to widen eligibility and raise support amounts in its next review.
