PCF Sparkletots doubles staff development budget to S$20 million for its preschool educators
· Keith Kwai
PCF Sparkletots, which runs about 350 preschools, said on 11 October it will spend S$20 million on staff development over the next three years, twice what it spent in the previous three. The money covers about 8,000 educators and 500 centre leaders, funding training roadmaps on professional skills, leadership and digital literacy that are meant to make roles and career paths clearer. The operator will also route parents’ routine requests and centre logistics to dedicated staff instead of teachers, give educators a checklist of classroom practices for children with diverse needs, and add counselling and peer support for staff wellbeing.
